Proceed and be bold.

I recently learned about this movie Proceed and Be Bold.
I just watched the trailer and now I am desperate to see it.

It is a documentary about Amos Paul Kennedy Jr. and printmaking as art.
At the age of 40 he quit his corporate job at AT&T and rocked his cushy, middle-class world in order to pursue his dreams of becoming a letterpress artist.

Since then he has produced a great number of beautifully designed posters.
I included some of my personal favorites in this post and you can see more here.

If you are interested in seeing his work stop by the library sometime!
UNCG's Special Collections is home to many artist's books by Amos Paul Kennedy Jr.

These posters know what's up.

Last month we put together an exhibit for one of the display cases in the corridor that connects our library to the student center. It included these posters and a number of books in various states of disrepair.
